I love going to the gym. Unfortunately the last time I went for a workout it was too much of a freak show. several TV's blasting different channels. My earphones were ineffective. But it just maybe my baby boomer age. You know, the generation gap (smile). I bought a set of bands, and they give me a good resistance workout, I'm not interested in body building, just strength and light muscle toning. I appreciate your helpful suggestions.

Phew. I think I passed all your “tests” - I’ve been stressed the last week or so after injuring my shoulder which I had surgery on in 2015 (full rotator cuff repair) and hoping and praying I didn’t damage it to the point of surgery. Had an X-ray earlier today and the doc ordered me to REST it for the next 10 days. Praying it heals…. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Tim, you're awesome in explaining the benefits of resistance bands. I was a serious weight lifter, starting from the age of 16 to 38. When I was 38, I was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both of my hips. I continued to lift until I was 40 years old. It eventually became too hard for me to go to a regular gym. I simply gave up until about 4 months ago. I decided to purchase a resistance band kit from Reebok. This was from my local Walmart. In the last four months, I've developed a resistance band workout for people like me who can only stand for a short period of time; and for those who are confined to a wheelchair. I'm in the process of completing a video that would benefit those who share my similar situation. It would be greatly appreciated if you were to watch the video and give me your honest feedback. By the way, I am a certified weight trainer on various machines; including, Nautilus, Universal medicines, Cybex plate loaded machines, and of course, free weights. By the way, I'm 57 years old, and in the last 4 months, I've lost 21 pounds, and because muscle has memory, I've built my muscle mass up to about 25% and very solid to the touch.

It has definitely helped me, from missing work for days at a time to eventually getting back good range of motion. But it’s a bandaid… that’s what people need to realize. It’s a bandaid and just like a wound just having the bandaid on isn’t going to make it better. Physical therapy is still very important. If you use KTape as a temporary assist.. I think it definitely helps in the long run.

I lost all sense of taste and smell in the last few hours. It's fascinating and so weird. Everything mentioned in this video is exactly me. I realised I can just about detect salt but only on a small area of the tip of my tongue. Food has become instantly boring and so I will inevitably eat even healthier and definitely have more porridge. But I didn't have COVID. Just a bad allergic cold due to a lot of back to back travel and insanely variable temperatures and humidity levels. Air conditioning in planes and hotels didn't help either. So I do wonder what has triggered this condition of mine. Thank you for the video. I found it to be calming and reassuring. All the best.

What do U think about. CERVIGARD ( NECK BRACING). which I want to TRY because of loss of lordosis in my neck & military neck, but it is related to all my bone & joint issues in my upper back. Forward head, loss of looking up & less movement for turning my head from side to side.. So it is also my back. I want to try this one if covered by my insurance. I understand U only wear it for 20ty mins. a day. I also intend to find someone to do PT for my neck. I have PA,OA,Maybe AS & FM. I also broke my L4 about 4 yrs. ago & nothing was done to fix it. so loss of much height & obviously, everything moved along with a bad nerve ablation in my neck which has caused 24/7 neck pain & loss of tilting my head backward to say gargle.. Any thoughts on neck bracing items??

Well, I feel like we are in a little group here. I have had both hips replaced 4 years apart, and now I've gone through a right knee replacement as well about 1 month ago. These exercises are very important. We all go through those times when we aren't in the mood, hurting at the time, and / or are too stiff to motivate yourself to do the exercises at home. Especially when you are alone with nobody to hold you accountable. Please trust an old veteran of joint replacements. The reason you are feeling stiff has something to do with the scar tissue in the surgical area. Most of these initial exercises help break up the scar tissue and allow for better movement and restoring your flexibility. "Motion is lotion," a nurse once told me... Gotta allow yourself the time and encouragement to get these done on a fairly consistent basis. It will not be the most pleasant part of your day, but I would like to reassure you that it will benefit you considerably more if you are loyal to these exercises. Good luck and a speedy recovery...

I have a slight tear in my meniscus and a grade 1 sprain of the MCL. Brace, ointment and ice helped some, but KT tape works perfectly. I don’t limp with it. In my mind, maybe so. All I know is I would not be able to survive PT without it.
